Business Christmas Cards

High School and College students! The Gallery Collection is holding a Christmas Card Scholarship Contest. It is free to enter and the best part is, they are going to give away $10,000. Yes you read that correctly $10,000 to whomever designs the best holiday greeting card. The Gallery Collection is the leader in business to business mail order greeting cards in the US. You may have even received some of their business Christmas cards. They will assemble a panel that will judge the cards in a variety of different areas. These areas are:
- Overall Aesthetic Appeal
- Quality of Execution
- Creativity and Originality
- Successful Incorporation of Design Elements
- Appropriateness for Use of Greeting Card
- Attractiveness to The Gallery Collection’s corporate and Consumer Customers
- Suitability as a design in Prudent’s Gallery Collection greeting card line
So, if you think you can design a card that would excel in all 7 of those areas, then you may have a really good chance of winning. You have plenty of time to work on your card and go through several revisions, the contest does not end until January 15th 2008 and the winner is not selected until March 15, 2008 at the latest. Be creative! Enter a photo, your artwork, or even a computer graphic. If you like to take pictures, send that in. If you are in art class and are really proud of one of your pieces, send that in. If you like to do graphic designs on the computer, send that in. There is no entry fee so you have absolutely nothing to lose. $10,000 can pay for a lot of your college tuition.
